Terry Lacoss and the Amelia Angler staff have been booking large group outings for sailing, fishing and sightseeing since 1978!
With this in mind, we have a wide variety of fishing opportunities for large groups. Included is freshwater bass fishing in some of northeast Florida's premier lakes and streams, backwater fishing for a variety of shallow water species for both spin, cast and fly fishing, bay, jetty and beach fishing and our most popular group fishing activity, deep sea fishing.
The Amelia Angler can run a fishing tournament for your group for the largest, smallest and most unusual catch!
Group sailing is also very popular for our guests that yearn to have a brisk Florida wind fill their sails! We can also run a "Sailing Regata" or "Poker Run" for those competitive sailors.
Group sightseeing charters can be arranged through the "Amelia Angler", which depart from the footsteps of historical Fernandina Harbor and sail to Georgia's Cumberland Island. Popular sightseeing group charters can be booked on the Cumberland Princess, a 65-foot sightseeing boat, or the "Ryan-K", a forty-foot river sightseeing boat.
Group charters are greeted at the Fernandina Harbor Marina by our staff and introduced to their captain for their day out on the water. We also have a sub office at the marina that assists our guests while they are out on the water as well. Hospitality is stored in coolers on the charter boats before our guests arrive to insure cold lunches and beverages are waiting for our guests. We will also greet the groups when they return from their charter and assist then with any of their needs, including transportation back to the resort.
